Our Co Founders

Moor Furniture was founded by four industry experts—Ric Frampton, Jonathan Cowgill, Dr. David Wilson, and Emmanuelle Bastide-Wilson, united by a shared vision, to create a furniture manufacturing company focused on innovation and excellence. Their aim is to blend cutting-edge research and development with personal passions, tackling some of the most technical and creative challenges in the furniture industry. From advanced algorithms and sustainable design to custom upholstery, their commitment to pushing boundaries results in high-quality, luxury furniture crafted with care and precision.

Ric Frampton: Furniture Designer

Ric leads new product development and creative direction at Moor Furniture. With a background in industrial design, he discovered his love for furniture through 12 years of experience with leading manufacturers in the UK. In 2018, Ric launched his own freelance design studio, emphasising research-driven, innovative, and commercially centric designs. Known for his hands-on approach, Ric leverages technology to push the limits of furniture design, solving even the most complex challenges.

Jonathan Cowgill: Master Upholsterer

Jonathan brings over 40 years of expertise in upholstery production and new product development, having served as a Production Director and led new product upholstery for prominent national and international furniture brands. Renowned for his meticulous attention to detail, he approaches each design with a commitment to quality, efficiency, and sustainability.

Dr David Wilson: Engineering and Master Craftsman

David earnt his Ph.D. in engineering, transitioned from a career in engineering to furniture making, where he applies his skills to both traditional cabinetmaking and modern technology. His expertise in CAD/CAM and CNC machining allows him to combine engineering precision with artistry, pushing the technical limits of furniture design.

Emmanuelle Bastide-Wilson: Head of Operations

Emmanuelle is the strategic leader of Moor Furniture, steering operations to ensure exceptional quality and service. With a background in operational management for an international wool trading company and a Master’s degree in International Law, she brings a wealth of experience in project management, finance, compliance, and governance. Her goal is to establish efficient structures and processes that exceed customer expectations and support the team’s innovation.
